Yoga on the Wallkill Begins Chakra Meditation Series

On the third Friday of every month Yoga on the Wallkill offers a meditation from 6 to 7:30 p.m. March 15 begins the first in a series of chakra meditations, starting with Muladhara chakra (the root chakra). Each session will include an informative discussion about the chakra and a practice designed to help you experience how the chakra affects you.

Susan Olsen and Tim Shannon, co- directors of Yoga on the Wallkill, have been teaching meditation classes together for ten years. Their monthly meditation class always is based upon a theme. Attendees share that they find the meditation classes not only illuminating but also deeply relaxing. This is a free- will donation class.

Yoga on the Wallkill, which overlooks the Wallkill River, offers daily yoga classes, accommodating all levels of experience. Each class incorporates meditation, breath work, asana and deep relaxation. For those who want to address deeper issues, one-on-one yoga therapy with certified yoga therapists also is available.
