Thermography and Breast Health Awareness by Julie Connor

Thermography is a pain-free and radiation-free, health screening tool that detects thermal patterns in the body which change as disease and inflammation occur in the body. According to the American College of Clinical Thermology, “this test is designed to improve chances for detecting fast-growing, active tumors in the intervals between mammographic screenings or when mammography is not indicated by screening guidelines for women under 50 years of age.”

Many women today are looking for healthier ways to monitor their health, particularly their breast health. Thermography offers a thermal picture of the metabolic and vascular activity of the breast and body. Inflammation in the body creates excessive heat, and since tumor growths need additional blood supplies to grow, thermography can detect these thermal heat changes sometimes before even a lump can be detected.

When changes are detected early through thermography, patients can make dietary and lifestyle changes while continuing to monitor their breast health. Preventative medicine engages patients to be proactive in their wellness and well-being. Here are some ABC’s of wellness:

Avoid processed sugars and hydrogenated oils. Eat plenty of organic or locally-grown plant based foods.

Become aware of your body. Do weekly breast exams. Breathe deeply to relax and begin an exercise program.

Cleanse your pantry of unhealthy foods and toxic chemicals. Cleanse your mind of unhealthy thoughts and habits by practicing meditation and visualization.
