Second Annual Wellness Day

The Second Annual Community Wellness Day™ is being held from noon to 3 p.m. on October 13 at Nanuet High School. The event features food, fun, education and entertainment. Attendees will also get a chance to meet wellness providers from around the county that can help them take charge of their health.

Following the success of last year’s inaugural Community Wellness Day, Dr. Craig Nugent of New Life Chiropractic in New City, is proud to once again sponsor this event. As Nugent describes, “Community Wellness Day is a national event focusing on educating members of our community on very important information critical to their total wellness. We will be sharing an array of information on health, safety, environmental and financial wellness.”

The event will take place in many cities nationwide during a three-week period this fall. “Our political leaders will be recognizing this as an important event in our community to empower people to take back responsibility for their families’ well-being,” says Nugent.

Local law enforcement will provide important identification information for children, families and seniors. The local fire department will offer fire prevention and safety information. Various other community agencies will share their programs on car and bicycle safety, Internet safety, identity fraud protection, financial literacy, health screenings, drug/alcohol awareness, senior services and much more.

Location: Nanuet High School. For more information, or to find out how you can participate, contact Dr. Nugent at 517- 0520 or See ad, page 41.
