Summer Play Camp will host two open houses– one on March 11 and the other April 29 for parents and children to take a tour, meet the Camp Director and hear all about the camp's unique and adventure-filled summer program. Fun activities are planned for the children and refreshments will be served.
Summer Play is an imaginative and discoverybased summer program where children ages 3-12 explore a variety of hands-on, creative and playful activities. On Blue Rock School's charming and beautiful, wooded campus, there are enough magical play spaces for the most vivid imaginations.
The program includes art, music, drama, nature and science, gardening, swimming, woodworking, t-ball, soccer, sewing, cooking, games and free play. Children in the older groups are eligible to choose an excursion option one day each week where veteran environmental educators take campers on a variety of hikes on trails in local parks and nearby lakes and rivers. Summer Play also offers a Counselor in Training (CIT) program for ages 13 and up.
Tuition is highly affordable and each summer the program typically draws over half of its campers from other area schools, both public and private, and from the home-schooled community.
