Fresh produce… breads, pies, cookies… cheese… grassfed beef…flowers… ice cream…honey… eggs…olive oil… the list of delights goes on at the Nyack Farmers’ Market which returns to its outdoor location on April 3.
The Market is run by the Nyack Chamber of Commerce and is open every Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine. The outdoor market runs from April 3 through November 26 in the municipal parking lot on Main Street at the center of the village. Free parking is available for Market patrons in the Artopee lot adjacent to the Market.
This summer the Nyack Farmers’ Market also will be open on Saturdays. From June 6 through November 22 you’ll find great food, music and fun every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Main Street parking lot.
Attracting upwards of 1,000 shoppers every Thursday, the Market’s 25+ vendors offer a broad array of local products — including cut flowers, farm fresh/organic fruits and vegetables, free-range eggs, fresh pickles, sauerkraut and olives, fresh baked goods, honey and maple syrup, coffee, gluten-free baked goods, pies and cookies, pasta and homemade sauces, hummus and Middle Eastern delicacies, handmade cheeses, fine local wines and cider — and more.
The Market also features weekly entertainment, including live music performed by local artists, as well as other activities such as face painting, caricatures and visits from Nyack’s Amazing Grace Circus.
