New Store Opens in Downtown Middletown

MYTHS, located in downtown Middletown, recently has opened its doors for business. According to store owner, Elisa Street, “MYTHS stands for ‘Mentoring You Through Healthy Support.’ Our goal is to bring awareness of health and wellbeing by offering alternative, healthy activities to share with your family and your neighborhood friends.”

MYTHS carries an eclectic array of gifts, novelties, candles, herbs, oils, jewelry, musical items, carvings, books and handmade crafts featuring some local artists. The store also features fun classes like the African drum

and African dance classes held on Thursday evenings at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. respectively.

Services offered include life coaching and colon hydrotherapy. “Our store’s certified colonics technician performs colon cleansings using the Open Method on a LIBBE Colonics machine,” shares Street.

Store workers are volunteers and a part of all proceeds goes to various youth programs and the underprivileged in the surrounding area. “Whether signing up for a class, or making a purchase in the store, know that you will be learning about healthy living and will be giving back to your community, as well as patronizing local talent and the arts. Get healthy, feel good and give back. We look forward to meeting you,” invites Street.

Location: 26 W. Main St., Middletown. For more information or to sign up to receive emails about upcoming events, call 204-0377 or visit MythsForYou.com.
