In-home Cooking Classes

Donna Douglass has been a personal chef and culinary instructor offers in-home cooking classes for busy professionals and families onthe- go. “Many of my clients used to believe that there is not enough time in the day to eat healthy, balanced meals or keep on top of a special diet,” says Douglass. “Now that they have taken my in-home cooking classes, they are more organized in their kitchen and cooking healthy meals every day without the stress.”

Douglass’s 3-hour, customized classes include hands-on instruction in the client’s home. “Before we begin working together, I do a client intake of where they are in their cooking skills, what kinds of foods or cuisine they are interested in learning, and if there are any special diets,” she says. “Then I can craft a training program whether it’s one session or several to help them build skills and confidence in the kitchen.”

Healthy Pantry Make-over and Healthy Grocery Shopping, Classic Dinners Made Healthier, Protein Breakfasts, Super Salads, Cooking with a Pressure Cooker, Meatless Meals, Healthy Cooking and Baking Techniques, and Cooking with Greens are just a sampling of the classes she offers.

Douglass also leads group cooking classes around the Hudson Valley, either in a client’s home or local community centers such as libraries. Her cooking classes also make really great gift certificates for the holidays, wedding or anniversary and birthday.
