Hudson Valley Writer Fest Comes to Goshen

Jacquelyn Mitchard, New York Times bestselling author (Deep End of the Ocean) will be the keynote speaker at the Hudson Valley Writer Fest on Saturday, April 22 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Harness Racing Museum, Main Street, Goshen. The day also includes a writers’ workshop by Mitchard, keynote by Manhattan publisher and writer Charlene Giannetti, as well as additional workshops on what writers need to know, and how to use social media to boost book sales.

“This event will provide the writer with valuable knowledge and inspiration,” says creator and writer, MJ Hanley-Goff. “Both Jackie Mitchard and Charlene Giannetti have decades of writing and publishing experience…how lucky are we that both are available to provide their tips and wisdom. Writers will leave with professional writing tips that will surely fire them up to finish or start their book, plus we’ll also cover the publishing process since that’s a topic that tends to slow down a writer’s momentum. That, along with breakfast, giveaways, a catered lunch and lots of coffee should make it a truly perfect day.”

Those who purchase the VIP ticket will receive signed books and the opportunity to chat with Mitchard and Giannetti about the writing world.

Local businesses, such as book stores and coffee shops, are invited to sponsor the day’s activities. This event is for adults, although high school students who are serious about writing are welcome.

Location: Goshen. To purchase tickets or for more information, contact 845-590-4449 or visit HudsonValleyWriterFest.com.
