Union Arts Center in Sparkill, New York, is offering a unique opportunity to take a day retreat, including yoga, organic vegetarian lunch and a hike in nearby Tallman Park, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 20.
The retreat will be facilitated by Forrest Yoga teacher Erica Mather whose classes are a mixture of challenge and fun with intelligent sequencing which supports inner and outer alignment.
There will be two yoga classes during the day. “The first class is a yoga workshop that begins at 10 a.m. and the second class completes the day with a more gentle yoga and meditation experience. It is possible to take just the two-hour morning workshop or just the afternoon class,” says Mather.
Founder and Executive Director of Union Arts Center, Simon Basner, is a regular student of Erica Mather’s and has taken several of her retreats. “Erica has a strong presence. I appreciate her direct and down-to-earth approach to teaching,” says Basner.
Mather also teaches at Pure Yoga in New York City and offers seasonal retreats at Kripalu.
