Children’s Yoga Curriculum Now Available

The Children's School of Yoga has been approved by New York State (NYS) to market their curriculum in schools throughout the area. After nine years of teaching children in preschools/ childcare centers, afterschool programs, clubs and organizations, the school has received approval from NYS for the licensing of their curriculum. This will allow The Children's School of Yoga to have their program taught in schools throughout the country.

The Children's School of Yoga founder Doreen Foxwell explains, “Any childcare center or school that is interested in bringing in a year round fitness/yoga program that will benefit children from 18 months to school-aged years now can utilize their own staff member who will be trained to teach the program on site.”

The school’s mission is to be a child's first yoga teacher in a fun, age appropriate way. “Our goal is for the child to continue practicing yoga into their adult life,” says Foxwell. “We feel that if a child takes just one yoga pose or breathing technique from our program and uses it, then we have achieved our mission.”
