MoveBeWell Studio is pleased to announce that they are joining forces with Yoga on the Wallkill in Montgomery to offer a new 8-week series entitled “Feel Younger, Move Better with Awareness Through Movement.” The class will be held Tuesday mornings from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. starting January 15.
Lynn Kenny of MoveBe- Well Studio is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais practitioner who has been practicing yoga for over 12 years. “There are so many great crossovers between Feldenkrais and yoga that it just makes sense to have these two beautiful offerings under the same roof,” says Kenny. “The awareness that people have developed in their experience with yoga can be very useful in studying Awareness Through Movement, and at the same time, further development of using the whole self in every action you take can lead to greater flexibility and freedom that is useful in yoga.”
No prior experience with either yoga or Feldenkrais is necessary to benefit from this offering. “Awareness Through Movement is so gentle with continuous reminders to stay where each movement is very easy and comfortable,” says Kenny, “that it is accessible to people of all ages and levels of fitness.”
MoveBeWell also continues to offer Awareness Through Movement classes through the Pine Bush Continuing Education program on Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. The new session will begin on January 10.
