Join us in residence at the historic Ananda Ashram from July 29 to August 25 for yoga teacher training. Immerse yourself in a profound exploration of the art and science of yoga. Learn yoga philosophy and psychology by chanting and studying the original source material, the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Learn to read and write the ancient Sanskrit devanagari script and to pronounce and chant with confidence.
The training will focus on Ashtanga and Vinyasa styles of asana practice inspired by the teachings of Krishnamacharya and the Mysore tradition and presented in the light of Guru Shri Brahmananda Sarasvati's lineage. Both restorative and vigorous practices will be explored. You will develop a profound connection to your own practice and receive a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification upon completion of the training.
Directed by David Yogananda Hollander, with the assistance of many renowned teachers, this course will integrate classical and contemporary approaches to yoga including daily meditation and early morning Mysore practice, a unique emphasis on Sanskrit, the science of vibration, and applied anatomy and physiology. The program also offers a Nada Yoga Immersion with Acharya Roop Verma, renowned sitarist, composer and teacher of sacred music.
This is a world-class, one-of-a-kind training that’s not to be missed. Space is limited, so please register early.
