A Full day of Meditation Practice with Alan Levin

“Want a break from the busyness of your activities? Want a break from the busyness of your mind? At the same time, do you want to support groups actively working for healthy food and water policies locally?” asks psychotherapist and meditation teacher, Alan Levin.

On Sunday, November 10, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Levin is hosting a day-long meditation retreat that includes periodic guidance from some of the world's best meditation teachers. “Each alternate hour, I will play an audio of a guided meditation or meditation teaching from one of the master teachers, including: Thich Nhat Hanh, Jack Kornfield, Eckhart Tolle, Sharon Salzburg, Adyashanti, and Shinzen Young,” says Levin. “The rest of the time will be in silence, or include meditative chanting. You can attend for as long as you like, though I suggest being there for at least one hour.”

Alan Levin is a psychotherapist and teacher of meditation. He has an open meditation group on Monday evenings and leads year-long groups called “Earthing: Spiritual Practices for Life on Earth.”

All donations for this event will go to the Rockland Water Coalition and the Rockland Farm Alliance. Both are doing wonderful work to foster healthy and sustainable relationships between the people of the region and the water and land that sustains us.

“I hope you will join me on November 10 for your own benefit and for the benefit of all beings,” invites Levin.
